Great brakefast cozy neighborhood atmosphere fresh food to die for. Friendly service.
Manjares was a fantastic experience!! The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating and the food was amazing!! I'm not from New Haven and had to find a restaurant to host a reception following the funeral of a family member. Another restaurant recommended Manjares and the owner exceeded my expectations. The room was perfect and well designed for the family to gather together. Everyone loved the food and how we were cared for by the entire staff.
Sweet little spot off the beaten path across from Edgewood Park. We parked to walk to Bella's for brunch, and it looked nice so kept it in mind in case Bella's was too busy. As it turns out, Bella's was packed with people and was stuffy and hot, and the host was scrambling trying to make room for everyone. It just felt uncomfortable, so we decided to leave and return here. It was a beautiful day,so we picked a sunny spot on the deck out front. There is counter service (and table service if you ask, but when they get busy you might be forgotten). Two nice young women were working alone and were a bit overwhelmed once it got busy. Otherwise, the food was delicious (made in house raspberry almond scone, pancake sandwich, and eggs Manjaro with mimosas to drink) and everyone was friendly. Recommend!
Manjares has recently "reopened" for dinner (check days/times). The margarita and mojito were delicious. The guacamole was excellent! Dinners were great. Charming atmosphere. We'll be back!!
The food is amazing, the owner is a sweetheart and really professional, they also have a bar and the bartender makes and best margaritas. If you want to relax and chill and have some good food and drinks.. definitely go for it.
Adorable restaurant , has outside seating right by Edgewood Park. I have eaten there for breakfast and dinner- most recently dinner. Service is great and friendly . Paella , tapas - all excellent and the best empanadas that I have ever had . It really is a hidden gem and you should try it out !
Ate at Manjares again with friends on Sept. 2nd. Excellent tapas, seafood paella, and lamb chops. Great atmosphere and nice folks. Good cocktails. Hidden gem. Busy.
Excellent little coffee shop with pastries and smoothies. Service was quick and he also did a great job of describing and explaining all the goodies available. Yum!
Ambiance: Fun - casual Service: great Food: breakfast is always a hit omelettes, waffles, etc. I had a great dinner of salmon and couscous I've been coming here for years , I had my children's parties here I'm glad they made it through Covid
Visited my hometown and searched for a coffee spot within walking distance and I'm lad I tried this place out! Their coffee was nice and their food was even better! To top it off you have a great view of Edgewood park form the patio or sidewalk seating! The food was light, well seasoned, and filling! The salad tasted very fresh, and the chicken and rice was savory and delicious! Definitely try the Baked chick burrito then go for a cathartic walk in Edgewood park! I will definitely be going again!
